About Edith Chan
Creative Director and Fashion Stylist, Edith Chan, specializes in editorial content, advertising, celebrity styling and e-commerce across both womenswear and menswear, luxury and high street. Having lived in a few of the most prominent cosmopolitan cities of London, New York, Madrid and Hong Kong, and having travelled extensively around the world, Edith has built a strong aesthetics sensitivity derived from every significant shift in fashion and beauty trends in the industry.
Over the past ten years, Edith has forged strong relationships with brands, PR agencies and independent designers, as well an extensive network of talented creative directors in all areas of shoot production, all of which have contributed to her diverse portfolio. Not limited to styling, she is also frequently responsible for the creative process in its entirety, from model casting and location scouting to concepts and creative direction. Her focus is on engaging audiences and building relationships between brands and customers.
Edith studied Fashion Styling, Art Direction, Fashion Marketing and many other creative courses at the (University of Arts)Art Universities of: Central Saint Martins, London College of Fashion and the world-class accelerator program at Mastered London. Her styling work has featured in PhotoVogue Italia, Harpers Bazaar Vietnam, Nakid Magazines, StelaMag Spain andCoiffure Professionnelle Magazine Spain. She has also worked at Mercedes-Benz Madrid Fashion Week in recent years since relocating from Asia to Europe.
Edith has a strong foundation in hair and make-up design artistry.. She began her career working as a hairstylist and make-up artist in renowned companies including Toniandguy, TIGI and Shu Uemura in London and Hong Kong. Edith was a leading hairstylist to oversee stylist teams for Mercedes-Benz Luxury Fashion Week, Hong Kong and Vietnam Fashion Week, and she worked at London Fashion Week with the TIGI creative team. Her passion and talent allowed her to style for celebrities Leonardo DiCaprio, America’s Next Top Model Nicole Linkletter, Annie Liu Xin-you, Manvela Vells and various actresses.
She also contributed to editorial spreads for magazines such as Elle, Cosmopolitan, Cosmo Girl, Baccarat, Tatler and GQ, and commercial campaigns such as HSBC, Convey Investment Bank, Pacific Place, Hitachi, Panta Hotel, etc., as well as various TV and film productions.
Edith is passionate about the future of sustainable fashion. She is keen to work with brands that share similar values – whether that be local independent/handcrafting designers or global retailers who choose sustainable materials, minimal waste and fair-trade factories – all of which contribute to a better planet!
She is currently living in Madrid with her family to expand herself creatively and professionally.
